The OUT TAOS Oral History Project seeks to record and preserve the voices of LGBTQIA+ individuals in our community—stories too often erased, ignored, or left untold. Through these unedited recordings, we honor the lived experiences of queer residents whose presence has shaped Taos as a place of belonging, resilience, and radical care. This project is both an act of preservation and celebration, capturing the strength and complexity of a community that has long found shelter, solidarity, and creativity in the high desert.
This is an on-going project. Please contact Matt if you'd like to learn more or how to contribute to the project.
