Wall Glitch, 2025
Lake Object Gallery
Taos, New Mexico
September 2025 - current
Material: Glass, Polystyrene (PS)
Size: 36" x 36"
Wall Glitch 2026 is a site-responsive installation that dissolves the stability of the gallery’s architecture. Pixelated mirror fragments form an orb in the corner wall, interrupting its surface and causing the adobe to appear fractured, slipping in and out of reflection. The work activates the architecture as a shifting threshold — echoing, refracting, and subtly interacting with Julie Lake’s sculptural forms and the surrounding works in the exhibition.
Wall Glitch, 2023
Currents 826 Gallery
February 2023
Material: Glass, Polystyrene (PS)
Size: 120" x 42"
Materiality dissolves with this subtle site specific gallery installation. Nestled within the corner of the gallery, the old adobe walls appear to fragment and disappear. Utilizing pixelated mirror fragments (Polystyrene Material) situated along the full height of a wall corner, the chaotic yet controlled layout disorients one understanding of space and structure.
